Participant1. I have studied both articles.
2. a. Based on interview at the time, the information is very consistent with journal guidelines, as both emphasize the importance of a clear scientific structure and the use of academic language in scientific writing to convince readers. Interviews with authors should also be followed throughout to ensure more accurate writing and accelerate publication efforts.
b. Both journals reflect good scientific writing standards and comply with regulations, such as the presence of abstracts, detailed and accurate explanations of methods, and data-based discussions. These aspects align with what I found during my interviews. However, I still found some differences. For example, the formatting and writing styles of each journal differ, and some articles did not use new references. This indicates that writing always has specific requirements.
c. Challenges in Writing: The interview also discussed challenges encountered in compiling articles. For example, the detailed formatting process requires authors to meticulously follow journal templates. Another challenge was finding references, as they must align with the credits and authenticity of the writing to ensure relevance to the research. Furthermore, authors need to critically and thoroughly check for grammar, citations, and plagiarism (no more than 20%) before submitting an article for publication.
3. Similarities: Both journals use a nearly identical scientific structure, employ APA citation style, and focus on clear, systematic, and well-structured content. Differences: IJAL provides more precise and detailed guidelines. Cakrawala Pendidikan is more flexible, although it still requires authors to follow a predetermined template.
Main Pattern:
The main pattern of high-quality scientific writing is a high level of understanding of journal writing guidelines. A good article should have a complete structure, from beginning to end, including an abstract and conclusion, a detailed and systematic explanation of the method, a data-based discussion, up-to-date references, a consistent, unchanging context, and academic language. Furthermore, we must maintain the originality of the writing to ensure the article is worthy of publication.Asri
Participant1. From my interview results at that time, writing an article begins with determining a good and appropriate title, an interesting topic to discuss, then determining the method and introduction. This greatly supports the relevance of each trusted reference and we must also adjust to a good article structure. Then compared with other groups, a common pattern often occurs when the article is about to be published because it must go through several reviews and is influenced by certain factors such as the queue in the submission process. In addition, based on questions from each group, the author must be consistent in developing the article.
2. Based on my interview results, a good article must be high quality, with a title and topic that interest readers, and conform to the structure of a scientific article. Furthermore, a good article should have a plagiarism level of around 20%. Scientific articles should also have complete and detailed references, a detailed and coherent methodology. Furthermore, writing articles also faces many challenges, including the risk of plagiarism, as authors often find it difficult to reduce plagiarism, difficulties in developing methodologies, finding appropriate references, and English language issues in academics.
3. From my interview experience, I’ve learned that journals are the home of written articles. Journals are where scientific articles are published, going through a series of processes. In writing these articles, authors need various supporting sources to convince readers. For example, using Google Scholar and Mendeley can help authors find appropriate references that align with the structure of scientific articles.Asri

Participant1. A few weeks ago, I read the article titled “Investigating Students Speaking Difficulties.” I access the journal on Google Scholar. The journal discusses how students experience speaking difficulties, so I was interested in the specific challenges these students face.
2. While reading the article, I was impressed by the arguments contain in it. I also felt challenge to try to understand the content more deeply.
3. I found the methodology and referencing quite challenging, as they require a high level of understanding, involving research term and a detailed understanding of data processing. Furthermore, creating reference was quite challenging because in addition to having to select references, I also had to improve the originality of my writing and properly align credits.
4. Reading this article help me improve my writing skills and deepen my understanding of the theories that influence my writing. -
