ParticipantThe abstract follows the CARS Model structure. In Move 1 (establishing a territory), the writer claims the importance of critical thinking and writing as essential twenty-first century skills (claiming centrality). In Move 2 (establishing a niche), the writer points out a lack of sufficient empirical research (indicating a gap). In Move 3 (occupying the niche), the study is presented by stating its purpose (to identify students’ learning needs), describing the method (survey with 437 students), summarizing the main findings (students’ priorities, challenges, and expectations), and highlighting the implications (useful for course design and integration of technology).

Participant1. i’ve studied it.
2. a. Based on the interview results, this is in line with the guidelines because the article structure is well-organized and uses appropriate academic language.b. Both journals demonstrate scientific writing standards, such as including abstracts, clearly described research methods, and discussions supported by data. However, there are still some inconsistencies, particularly in formatting and the use of references that are not always up-to-date.
c. Several challenges identified in the interviews are also reflected in the journals. These include dealing with detailed formatting requirements by following journal templates, selecting recent and relevant references, and carefully reviewing the article before submission.
3.
• Similarities: Both journals apply a standard scientific structure, use APA citation style, and emphasize clarity and systematic presentation of research.• Differences: The Ijal journal tends to be more detailed and specific, whereas the Kejar Pendidikan journal is relatively more flexible, although it still follows general template guidelines.
• Main pattern: From a student’s perspective, high-quality scientific writing requires clarity and adherence to journal guidelines. An article should include a complete structure (from abstract to conclusion), present clear methodology, provide data-based discussion, and use recent references with consistent citation style. In addition, maintaining academic language and ensuring originality are essential.

Participant1. the process of writing and submitting a scientific article usually begins with selecting a relevant topic, reviewing previous studies, collecting and analyzing data, writing the article based on the journal format, revising the content, and finally submitting it through an online journal system. After submission, authors usually go through the peer-review process and make revisions based on reviewers’ feedback. A common pattern compared with other groups’ findings is that almost all authors emphasized the importance of careful preparation, revision, and following the journal guidelines.
2. A high-quality scientific article is clear, original, well-structured, supported by valid data, and written using formal academic language. It should also provide useful contributions to the field of study. The challenges authors often face include finding a strong research topic, organizing ideas clearly, using proper academic language, managing references, and responding to reviewer comments. Similar to other groups’ findings, the most common challenges are related to language use, time management, and the revision process.
3. i learned that important resources and support in writing a scientific article include access to credible references, guidance from supervisors or lecturers, feedback from peers, and knowledge of academic writing tools such as reference managers. Structural components such as a clear abstract, introduction, methodology, results, discussion, and conclusion are also essential. A common pattern compared with other groups’ findings is that support from mentors and access to reliable academic resources are considered crucial for producing a successful scientific article.

Participant1. I read the article “Enhancing Reading Skills: The Impact of the Easy Reading Module on Preschool Children” recently as part of my academic task. The topic focuses on how an Easy Reading Module can help improve early reading abilities in young children. I accessed it online through a journal website. While reading it, I felt interested and curious because the topic is relevant to education, especially early childhood learning, although some parts required more focus to fully understand.
2. The experience was memorable mainly because of the topic and its practical impact on preschool education. However, it was also a bit challenging due to the academic language and the structure of the article, especially in sections that used formal terms and detailed explanations. The way the arguments were presented required careful reading to follow the main ideas clearly.
3. The part I usually find most difficult is the methodology section. This is because it often includes technical terms, research procedures, and data analysis that are sometimes complex and unfamiliar, making it harder to understand compared to other sections like the introduction or conclusion.
4. Reading journal articles helps improve my academic writing skills by exposing me to formal language, proper structure, and clear argumentation. It also helps me learn how to organize ideas logically, use evidence to support claims, and write in a more academic and professional style.
