Participant1. Move 1 (Establishing a Research Territory), the authors perform several steps. First,
√ Step 1 (claiming centrality) is shown by stating that critical thinking is an essential skill in higher education. Then,
√ Step 2 (making generalizations) is reflected in the explanation of the role of critical thinking in analyzing and evaluating information. In addition, the authors carry out.
√ Step 3 (reviewing previous research) by citing various previous studies to strengthen the importance of the topic.2. Move 2 (Establishing a Niche), the authors indicate a research gap through
√ Step 1A (indicating a gap), which refers to the lack of empirical evidence and limited understanding of students’ learning needs in critical writing. Furthermore,
√ Step 1B (highlighting problems) is shown by emphasizing the gap between theory and practice and the limited application of critical writing skills in real contexts.3. Move 3 (Occupying the Niche), the authors fill the gap through several steps.
√ Step 1 (announcing present research purpose) is shown by stating that the study aims to analyze students’ needs in critical writing. Second,
√ Step 4 (summarizing method) is reflected in the explanation that the study uses survey research. Third,
√ Step 5 (announcing principal outcomes) is shown by mentioning the expected outcomes of the study. Finally,
√ Step 6 (stating the value of the research) is presented by explaining the significance of the study in improving teaching strategies and curriculum development.May 2, 2026 at 12:35 pm in reply to: Worksheet 2.3 Creating a Mind Map of a Publishable Scientific Article #3927Nenden

Participant1. When writing a scientific article, the first step is to decide on a topic, then conduct research and gather as many journal references as possible. From there, we can determine the title and research methodology. Once the full article is written, it undergoes a review process by reviewers. Usually, we need to make several revisions based on their feedback. This process, from revision to final publication, can take quite a long time.
2. A good article must be systematic, use academic language, and have strong data-driven discussions. For us students, the challenge usually lies in maintaining format consistency and finding the most up-to-date references. Technical details, such as word counts and table placement, are also common difficulties.
3. A strong article foundation must be complete, from the Abstract to the Discussion. We rely on tools like official journal templates and APA citation guides to avoid mistakes. The most demanding part is often the Introduction, as it requires a very deep explanation of the research background and objectives.

Participant1.I’ve studied it.
2. A. Alignment: Generally, the interview results align with the journal guidelines as both prioritize scientific structure and academic language. The difference lies in the details: the Cakrawala journal is very specific regarding references and titles (maximum 13 words), while the Ijal journal focuses more on citation examples with shorter titles (maximum 12 words).
B. Article Standards: The sample articles have met the standards (including an abstract, methodology, and data-driven discussion). However, the remaining challenges are format consistency and the use of references that are sometimes outdated.
C. Challenges & Strategies: The main issue that often arises is the difficulty of following very specific templates. To handle this, students need to be more meticulous in reading the guidelines, use the latest references, and must double-check everything before submission.3. Similarities
√ Both use a standard structure (Introduction, Research Background, Literature Review, and Objectives).
√ Both utilize APA-style citations and similar data collection methods.
√ Both include a conclusion section and acknowledgments at the end of the article.Differences
× The Ijal journal has stricter and more detailed regulations, while Kejar Pendidikan/Cakrawala is slightly more flexible as long as the template is followed.
× Regarding Tables: One journal requires tables to be integrated within the discussion section, while the other requires them to be placed at the very end after the bibliography.• Main Pattern
The key to writing a high-quality scientific article is attention to detail. Students must be disciplined in following the template, use up-to-date references, and maintain the originality of their work to ensure it remains credible and systematic.April 27, 2026 at 8:42 am in reply to: Worksheet 2.2 Comparing Interview Insights with Journal Guidelines #3878Nenden

Participant1. The journal topic I read was Exploring the Use of Subtitled Videos in Teaching Listening Skills to Junior High School Students. This journal explains the use of videos with subtitles to help improve the listening skills of junior high school students. I read it while working on a college assignment, accessing it via Google Scholar. While reading it, I felt motivated.
2. What impressed me was the many new vocabularies, but that also became a challenge for me. Also, the language is quite formal and lengthy.
3. In my opinion, the most difficult part was the methodology, because there were many research terms that I didn’t quite understand.
4. It helped because from there we know how to write well and correctly. -
